"A few weeks ago, it was my privilege to speak at a lunch to raise money and awareness and, most importantly, to recruit mentors for the YWCA Future Leaders programme. Participants in this voluntary, long-term, mentoring programme work with women aged 14-18 years to develop their leadership skills, encouraging them by caring, listening and sharing life experience. Through the belief of the mentors in the potential of young women and a commitment to helping them achieve their goals, the programme has changed the lives of 225 young women from 16 schools so far.
